Jamaica Trip Day 2

Hello All,

Today started early, as we met for Breakfast at 7am (all but 1 day will start this early!)

We went to a school called Barracks Primary School in downtown Montego Bay. We shared our Noah's Ark puppet show with several hundred children up to grade 6. We were warmly received, and Angie finished the program with a challenge about being obedient to the Lord, because he loves us and wants to protect us, just as He did for Noah and his family.

After a lunch by our good friend at "Team Cook" Miss Gloria we went to an Orphanage called Blossom Garden's. We did our puppet show for the some of the 59 children there, and spent nearly two hours playing with them. It was great to see all of the team having fun with the children ~ Swinging, kicking around balls, singing, piggy back rides, and some of the team spent their entire time with a kid "attached" to them one way or another! & Many of the girls enjoyed having their hair "done" by the young ladies at the Orphanage who want to grow up and be hairdressers!

We even squeezed in about an hour swimming in the Ocean.... One youth commented... "Man, it sure is salty!"

And some random postings on our Team Jamaica page on facebook (If you have facebook)

Peace MON!

The team has arrived safely in Montego Bay!

After a two hour delay with a plane switch in Charlotte - The team arrived from all the way from Prairie Hill Evangelical Free Church in Eden Prairie, MN.

After luggage Olympics, some relaxation and fun in the pool, we went to the best Jerk Meat in Jamaica (my opinion) The Pork Pit.

We met a new friend named Antoine that joined our group for our meal. He is a 4th grader from a nearby town who has to sell a certain amount of cookies in order for him to be able come home for the night. (Very sad... We invited him to our kids day that we are having at a Church not far from his house, and pray that he comes) & Taylor had a lengthy conversation with a German tourist who "happened" to be there dining alone, and Taylor had a chance to go down the "Romans Road" with her. Her name is Keirsten. Please pray that God's word will bear fruit in her heart and mind.

After a short puppet show practice, meeting, and group devotional led by Kent - The team was very ready for bed at 10pm!

More to come...
